The Reluctant And Struggling Reader

Today I will be sharing tips on identifying 2 groups of children when teaching your child read. The first group is the Reluctant Reader. He is the child that knows how to read but doesn't like reading. For them reading is boring and this is commonly found among boys. To help them is by giving them books that catches their interest like comics, adventure stories, books about computer games and dinosaurs. The second group is where I'm concerned and they are the struggling readers. They are the children that struggles to read and are the children that are being misunderstood at home and in school. They struggle for many reasons like  1: finding it hard to sit still and concentrate.  2:  They may have speech and language difficulty or a history of hearing loss.  3: They may be in their early stages of learning English. 4: There may be a history of reading and spelling difficulties in the family like being dyslexic.
